Common Insanities

What is it?
Pretense, delirium, obsession, denial, reaction, attachment, ecstasy, frivolity, the unobtainable, loss, friction, ragged joy, truth, revolt, ridicule, escapism, snare, flux, the norm and the obscure.

'I shook my head vigorously each time I thought about it, trying to throw the thoughts out of my head, through my ears. Yet they’d always crawl back in, like lice.'

Rainer Maria Rilke sees a 'frighteningly silent abyss into which the others fall'.

Love seemingly involves a myogenic muscular organ; love, as important as your circulatory system, or as fatal as a cardiac arrest...
The heart cannot break, it is not a bone. It can however be ripped, chewed up, and in my belief it can flare up so thick that it causes damage to the near lying organs. Ultimately, it explodes, and all you have left is little pieces of heart, dripping blood stains wherever they land. Only to be licked up by a stray cat or hungry fox.

'one day I could look back and know that there was clarity past the kaleidoscope I was looking through.'

A feeling which can spread like smiles do when the sun gently caresses our backs, as John Donne believes, 'A single violet transplant, The strength, the colour, and the size— All which before was poor and scant— Redoubles still, and multiplies

The Classics believed 'Amor Vincit Omnia'. Yet amor hereos occures amongst the strongest men. Is it that amor vincit omnia, even the lover?

Love is supposedly the epitome of life.

'The youths revolt will never tire
Living off whims and frolics.
Our impetus is our desire,
it deters the invading melancholic'

it's beauty, freedom, an imposed idea.
A youth believes in love.

It's nothing but madness, of the soul.
